I am interested in artifacts
of the forest, the currency of the woodland: acorns, pinecones,
small sticks, cocoons....I collect them (like a squirrel)
in the fall from my favorite hiking spots, and sometimes I make
them out of clay, and then cast them in plaster. From the
plaster molds I cast them in porcelain. I am creating a whole
ceramic woodland world here in my studio!
These objects can be hung ornamentally, placed in a
terrarium to create a beautiful still life, or even used as jewelry.
If you'd like to see them in person,
I welcome visits in my Brooklyn studio! Just shoot me an email when you'd
like to come by. If you are interested in purchasing, or would
like to know more, contact me. I can ship anywhere in the US.
All pieces are cushioned in biodegradable excelsior, packaged
in 100% recycled and recyclable kraft gift boxes, and wrapped
with pretty washi paper tape. They are ready to be given as gifts,
celebrating the gifts our forests give us.
